From Mar-22-2016 iPhone 5 doesnt seem to be supported

I installed the iOS v9.3 on Mar-22-2016 and had the CNN Money app from Mar-1-2016 working just fine.
That evening, CNN Money released a new app version which I tried to install on the device.
Alas, it shows a pop-up dialog box stating the new app is incompatible with the device.
Unhappy with this outcome and I uninstalled the app altogether.
Switched to CNBC app.
